Togo is talking about Econoler!
From Lome in Togo, Econoler Project Manager Laurent Jodoin and International Technical Expert Laurent Kossivi have informed us of some excellent news about the following project, “Optimal energy efficiency strategies for the development of low carbon emissions in emerging economies”. This project deals with the themes of energy justice and gender in Africa, namely in Togo, Senegal, and Benin, and is financed by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). Mid-mandate meetings served to present very important research results from a survey of 2,100 households in the three countries, which will enable the formulation of energy policy recommendations for the governments. This research project is also aimed at discovering how energy efficiency policy decisions help provide energy justice to women and more vulnerable groups in Sub-Saharan rural areas.
