Econoler heads to the Pacific Islands!

Starting from February 2020, Econoler will use its strong expertise in energy-related gender equality to serve the Pacific region. After completing several projects designed to promote gender equality in the energy sector in Africa, Middle East, Asia and the Caribbean, Ms. Joëlle Matte, Econoler’s expert in energy-related gender equality will be helping six Pacific island countries develop a strategic action plan for promoting energy-related gender equality for the period of 2020-2030. To fulfill this assignment, Econoler will be partnering with the NGO, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) through the Canadian Trade and Investment Facility for Development (CTIF), this large project will support political reform linked to sustainable trade and investment to help reduce gender inequality in this region. Jointly undertaken by the Pacific Community, this initiative is warmly welcomed in this region, because no specific work has been done for this region on energy-related gender equality since 2015.
