Last week, Bradley Abbott, one of Econoler’s senior energy efficiency experts, conducted an energy and water audit at a textile factory’s dyeing facility in Lahore, Pakistan.

Conducted according to the relevant ASHRAE standard, the energy audit involved documenting and reviewing the textile-dyeing operation’s current energy-use pattern so as to enable establishing an accurate operation model for the calculation of potential savings. To measure the operation variables, the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP) Option B was also used to carry out the isolated measurement of all relevant parameters.

After completing the site visits and measurements, Mr. Abbott will analyze the collected data to estimate the potential for improving energy and water efficiency and recommend appropriate energy conservation measures (ECMs). He will also make a cost-benefit analysis of every ECM recommended by assessing its technical feasibility, financial viability and expected environmental benefits.

An internationally renowned energy efficiency consulting firm, Econoler has world-class expertise and extensive experience in conducting energy audits in the commercial, industrial and public sectors.
