Econoler CEO attending the APEC Workshop on Harmonizing Standards for M&V of Energy Savings

From October 15th to 16th, the Econoler CEO, Pierre Langlois attended the APEC Workshop on Harmonizing Standards for M&V of Energy Savings. Hosted by the China National Institute of Standardization and implemented with the support of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the goal of the workshop was to harmonize M&V methodologies for increasing the reliability of energy savings, improving the capacity to use international M&V standards and enhancing the understanding of M&V standards through public-private dialogue.

Pierre participated on various panels to discuss the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP) as an internationally recognized M&V standard, best practices for M&V of energy savings and environmental policies that need go along with M&V plans. 

Several recommendations emerged from the workshop, including on increasing awareness of government on M&V, on working towards building confidence of businesses with guidance and certification programs of M&V experts and on enhancing regional cooperation.
