In a move to promote energy efficiency across the African continent, Attijariwafa Bank Corporate and Investment Banking has launched the African Energy Efficiency Fund (AEEF) in partnership with Econoler.
The official launch event brought together more than 120 key participants from the institutional, corporate, and major business sectors. The AEEF fund aims to catalyze innovative and sustainable energy efficiency projects, helping businesses transition toward a more energy-efficient and environmentally conscious future.
“The FAEE aims to support and accelerate the energy transition and decarbonization of Moroccan and African companies by offering them a complete, turnkey solution,” stated Youssef Rouissi, Executive Vice President of Attijariwafa Bank’s Corporate and Investment Banking division. He further emphasized the crucial role of private and banking sectors in mobilizing both human and financial resources to ensure the success of such high-impact investments.
To strengthen this initiative, the FAEE has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Vinci Energies, a key technical partner who will play a major role in the execution of energy efficiency projects on customer sites.
This initiative highlights our commitment to promoting energy efficiency on a global scale and contributing to the environmental and economic growth of the African region. As one of the fund’s strategic partners, we are thrilled to bring our decades of expertise in energy efficiency to support sustainable development across Africa.
