Peak Smart Residential Demand Response Program Planning and Evaluation 

Yukon Energy launched its first residential automated demand response (ADR) program in the fall of 2023. Yukon Energy engaged Econoler to prepare a two-year program evaluation plan for the Peak Smart Home program and to provide evaluation services as stipulated in the plan. Econoler conducted comprehensive impact and process evaluations of the first year of the program. The evaluation involved quantifying the peak load reductions achieved through utility direct load control of enrolled thermostats and water heaters and the total peak load reduction achieved during each peak event. The Econoler team also supported the collection and analysis of participant surveys and conducted interviews with electricians and contractors participating in the program to identify improvement opportunities.
