Designing and Operationalizing the Energyze ESCO Business Model

Econoler is working under an initiative to support the operationalization of Energyze Holdings Inc. (EHI) by refining its business case and developing the necessary systems and processes to function as an energy service company (ESCO) in Saint Lucia. EHI aims to provide energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions to residential and commercial customers to facilitate a transition to a more sustainable energy environment. The first phase is focused on refining EHI’s business case by validating market data, optimizing business model strategies, and conducting market analyses of commercial buildings. The second phase will serve to develop the operational framework, including personnel hiring plans, energy audit templates, contract structures, measurement and verification methodologies, and strategies for integrating renewable energy solutions.

Under the mandate, Econoler is carrying out the following tasks:

For Phase 1:

• Review and refine EHI’s existing business case presented to the Board of Directors and validate quantitative and qualitative assumptions for market analysis;

• Assess and optimize the adopted ESCO business model and operational processes, aligning them with best practices and industry standards;

• Conduct a comprehensive market analysis of commercial buildings to determine EHI’s market share in the energy sector.

For Phase 2:

• Develop key operational documents, including energy audit templates, contracts, measurement and verification (M&V) plans, and energy performance contracts;

• Support the identification of key clients for pilot projects, assisting in conducting energy audits and reviewing their accuracy and quality;

• Design implementation plans for energy efficiency projects, integrate renewable energy solutions, and establish M&V processes to verify savings;

• Provide technical support for the integration of renewable energy solutions and monitor progress, offering guidance on energy performance contract negotiations and reporting requirements.

Through these services, Econoler is enabling EHI to establish a robust and sustainable ESCO business model, equipping the company with the necessary expertise, tools, and strategies to drive energy efficiency and renewable energy adoption in Saint Lucia.
