The Agence Française de Développement (AFD) finances and provides technical assistance to development programs and projects that support more sustainable and better shared economic growth. It’s subsidiary, Proparco, supports private investments.
Econoler was selected to design and deliver to Proparco office staff in Paris a 1.5-day training session on financing climate change mitigation projects. The training was tailored to the needs of Proparco program managers. It covered the fundamentals of climate finance and various detailed aspects of the cycle of climate financing programs.

Econoler was hired to deliver the training to Proparco’s experts on financing programs for climate-change-mitigation projects developed by banks. The 1.5-day training session was held in Paris. The training scope was determined by consulting with Proparco and aimed to provide practical knowledge on the design, implementation and evaluation of climate finance programs. The training was structured to be interactive, with multiple references to case studies, lessons learned and examples from implemented programs in Proparco’s areas of operation.
