Econoler was hired to support the firm, CDG Développement, in launching its own ESCO to implement EE solutions across its subsidiaries. Econoler’s tasks include the following:
- Developing a business plan, including a description of the targeted market, the marketing strategy, organization of the operations, the product and the financial profitability;
- Building the capacity of the CDG by delivering several on-site and remote training sessions covering all the steps for developing an ESCO and carrying out EE projects in buildings;
- Providing support for starting the operations by developing document models, including a performance contract, a preliminary audit, an investment grade audit, and a measurement and verification plan;
- Providing support for launching the internal ESCO, including delivering training sessions, providing support for drafting the first few contracts, the drafting and negotiation of agreements with the ESCO’s subcontractors;
- Conducting five preliminary audits;
- Providing support in conducting investment grade audits.
This assignment is expected to provide CDG Développement with all the tools for creating its ESCO and implementing the first few energy performance contracts.
