Adapted language and financing: overcoming barriers to the energy transition

Financing is one of the key issues for energy transition stakeholders. On 23 January, the panelists at the Sommet sur l’énergie conference exchanged experiences and anecdotes on this subject. David Héon suggests replacing “energy efficiency” by the word “profitability” to peak interest among financiers. In addition, Pierre Langlois also emphasizes the necessity of suggesting that they change their ways of doing things, as well as modify their expectations on return on investments.
