project description

Econoler has been contracted to support the IEPF in preparing funding applications for submission to the CEO of the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The mission of the IEPF was to support French-speaking countries of West Africa in the identification cards production for the projects within the framework of the energy program defined by the GEF. The project included eight countries in West Africa: Cape Verde, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Chad.

Econoler’s mandate included the following activities:
  • Collaborate with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and IEPF teams in the completion of Project Identification Forms (PIFs) and General Planning Forecasts (GPFs) determined by the GEF energy program linked to West Africa.
  • Ensure the different documents adhere to the priorities of both the GEF and involved countries.
  • Support the IEPF and UNIDO teams in submitting PIFs and GPFs to the GEF secretariat as well as in providing answers to GEF comments.

Throughout the mandate, Econoler created eight definitive project identification forms, which were subsequently sent to the IEPF to be in turn submitted to the GEF
