The building energy challenge attains its first year objectives

Geneviève Gauthier, Econoler National Director and co-founder of the Building Energy Challenge, participated in an energy symposium organized by BOMA, a group of Quebec commercial building managers and owners. During the event, 30 organizations representing 157 buildings were recognized for their commitment and efforts to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

To determine the winners of the Challenge, three categories will be evaluated by a jury: target GHG reductions; improved energy performance; and quality of the collaboration between building managers and their tenants. The Energy Challenge is pleased to have significantly progressed in achieving its targets for the year and hopes to attain a 10% reduction in GHG emissions by 2021.
