EEFIG

Ivan Gerginov, senior financial expert and director of Econoler S.A., Econoler’s European subsidiary company, contributed to the report Energy Efficiency – the first fuel for the EU economy published this year. The report was overseen by the Energy Efficiency Financial Institution Group (EEFIG), a working committee set up by the European Commission and UNEP FI, whose mission is to seek long-term financing for energy efficiency initiatives.

The report was highly anticipated by experts in the field as it reviews the most pressing issues related to energy efficiency financing in the building, industry and SME sectors. The report also outlines concrete recommendations for policy makers and market players.

With extensive experience in the financing of sustainable energy in Europe, including as founder and former director of the Bulgarian Energy Efficiency Fund (BgEEF), Ivan Gerginov provided valuable support to the research team.
